Louise Thompson, RN, MSN , Director of Nursing, Westlake Regional Rospital

I have been the Director of Nursing for Westlake Regional Hospital for 19 years. during the early years I had a need for additional staff. I called what was then “STAT” now MedPlus. They met my staffing needs with reliable, qualified staff. Then again in 2001 I needed additional staff. Since then and especially in 2007 and 2008 I have utilized the temporary staffing of MedPlus. Seldom have they not been able to provide staff even at a short notice. The office staff is friendly to communicate with, eager to meet my needs with friendly skillful nursing staff. When I consider temporary staffing for my nursing needs I always call MedPlus. They are reliable and eager to assist with my staffing needs. They provide well trained, qualified and reliable staff.

Medplus has given me the opportunity to work in different places. I have found this experience not only challenging, but I have met some very nice and interesting people from different places. I like the flexible scheduling around my life at home. When I worked other places my family had to schedule things around my work schedule now we schedule around the things or events that we want to attend. We can plan ahead for family gatherings now. My family sees me much more now than they did when I worked 10 minutes from home. I would recommend this job to anyone.

Dottie Campbell RN, Director of Critical Care Services, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital

I would like to recommend MedPlus as a staffing agency. I have become quite familiar with the quality of supplemental staff over the years they have provided me. I have been the nursing director for several critical care units for 30 plus years both in Lexington, Ky and Somerset, Ky. I utilized MedPlus agency to supplement my staffing at Samaritan Medical Center in Lexington Ky. I was in charge of the intensive care unit, coronary care unit, telemetry unit, cath lab, vascular center, cardiopulmonary dept, and the staffing office/house supervisors. I currently work as the director of critical care units, I often need to supplement my staffing-sometimes I am able to request staff ahead of time thus providing some notice, and at other times-no notice at all, I am able to get coverage for the upcoming shift. I have had experience with other nursing agencies and found MedPlus to be unequaled in the quality of staff they provide on a consistent basis. I appreciate many things about MedPlus. The staff is very professional, qualified, capable and adaptable to our philosophies at LCRH.
